| ||||||||
PERSONALITY Positives ● Fun-loving - He loves himself some fun times. Then again, who doesn't? ● Sweet - Kyouhei is a pretty sweet kid, thought that might be because he has the maturity of a five year old. ● Supportive - Be his friend, and he'll support you through anything you decide to do. Though the reverse is just dangerous. ● Lovable - He loves his friends, though not necessarily romantically. His bonds with them are just too strong. ● Loyal - Ask him to jump, he'll ask what type of wood you want his coffin to be made of. ● Brave - Though it leans more towards stupid impulsive brave then brave brave. When he's scared though and stupidness isn't a factor, his dedication allows him to stand his ground if needed even if he's terrified. ● Unrelenting - A more extreme form of dedication is what keeps Kyouhei moving, even if it only triggers when the need is urgent, being lazy otherwise, but once it is triggered, he'll not stop until he's incapable of moving. ● Confident - Though not exactly always a quality. See below. ● Quick to act - A quality in dangerous situations, but at the same time...See below. ● Positive - To a ridiculous degree. Even when things are at their darkest, he'll try to find a good side. ● Curious - Ah, curiosity. Such a good quality. Negatives ● Curious - Ah, curiosity. Such a good way to get killed. ● Easily fooled - When battle isn't involved, he's quite slow to spot any kind of trickery or lie. He'll probably fall for most shit people try to pull on him. ● Easily flustered - Despite being a bit of a pervert, he can't flirt and when he notices romantic or sexual intent he'll blush more than a tomato and try to squirm his way out of the situation. ● Weird girl problems - Kyouhei develops crushes rather easily, and will often completely screw up whenever he's near a girl he likes. When in their presence, he'll behave awkwardly and be confused of what to do, what with hormones and all, and when not, his actions, guided by uncertainty, are often seen as a bit creepy, ranging from collecting simple mementos to think about said girls or watching them from a distance. Fortunately, he's able to keep that from becoming...too creepy. Still, girl issues galore. ● Impulsive - His act first think later attitude makes him frequently get himself into dangerous situations. ● Reckless - Same as above. ● Clumsy - Oh man you have no idea how clumsy he can be. ● Overly trusting - Buy him an ice cream and he won't suspect a thing. ● Accidentally cocky - Weird one to explain, but he's somehow good at battling with Pokémon. He has no idea how he is, and attempting to describe his apparent luck just makes him go by as kind of a jerk. ● Slow - And if after all of this you didn't get it yet, he's kind of slow. Not dumb, but slow and naive. Don't expect much cunning and word games out of this one. Likes ● Training - TO BECOME STRONGURRRR ● Exploring with his Pokémon - Because maybe they'll find something interesting and become STRONGURRR ● ● Running - Boy was made for that. After all, that's the only reason he wears the visor, so his palm tree mess of a hair won't get in the way. ● Swimming - He keeps that suit under his clothes for a reason. It was a thing both Mei and him liked doing ever since they were young, and he just has great fun with it. ● Coffee - Sugary things - GOTTA GO FAST ● Teasing Mei - About everything, but specially her totally not secret secret crush. ● His crushes - And all the stalking and daydreaming that comes with it. ● Battles - Not all out violence addicted, but he must admit he likes the adrenaline of a heated battle as much as the next guy. Dislikes ● Hunger - Who the hell likes to be hungry? ● Seeing his friends hurt - Just don't. ● Electric Pokémon - ALL ZAP ZAP AND NO WINNING MAKES KYOUHEI A DULL BOY ● Boredom - I HAVE NOTHING TO DO AND I MUST SCREAM ● Insults - :c Don't be mean to poor palm tree ● Being left alone - *gross sobbing* Goals ● To challenge and beat Red, Blue and Green - They are pretty much his idols, and overcoming your idols is every boy's dream. ● See all his friends well in life - Mei needs to keep being Mei in general, and Qwilfish needs to chill. ● Befriending and becoming the trainer of a Legendary - Who doesn't dream of having a semi-immortal being by your side. ● Overcome the Knights - YOU PUNKS GOIN' DOWN ● Become a Gym Leader or Professor when retired - Because he can be battley and smart. Yes, battley is a word. Fears ● The dark - I HAVE NO LIGHT AND I MUST SEE ● Getting hit by strong electric attacks - Owwwwww ● Seeing his friends hurt - I mean, not cool, bro. ● The Knight's triumph - Because world domination by evil organization is baaaad. ● Being left behind - Don't leave me you guys guys you guys am I being annoying guys you guuuuuys ● Hydreigons - DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENIIIIS
HISTORY ● Kyouhei was born and raised in Aspertia City, living a fairly normal childhood, even if he never met his father. Even then, his mother was a very nice woman and a great maternal figure, and he has no issues with his lacking parent whatsoever. A happy and curious kid, he got into trouble fairly often, but his mom was always around to get him out of it. Until he learnt to run of course, and didn't need help anymore. Kyou's a natural at it. ● While he was going out of the house ever since he could climb out of his crib, he was officially allowed to do so on his own when he was five. It was by then he befriended Hugh and Mei, who'd become his best friends for the rest of his life. They grew up together and even if he and Hugh fought sometimes, they were pretty much inseparable. There was an incident where their friend, Hugh, changed a lot, but, well, Team Plasma did steal his sister's Purrloin, and that was Hugh's gift to her. Kyouhei could understand why he was mad, but he never quite got the coldness. ● Soon after though, news reached two trainers by the name of Black and White had defeated Team Plasma and their leader, Ghetsis. A few years later, at age thirteen, the boy and his friends left for their journey, with Kyouhei choosing Tepig as his starter Pokémon. They began collecting the gym badges in their path, defeating leader after leader, and found out about Neo Team Plasma. Piece by piece, they took on the team, sabotaging their plans several times; until one day, they found the Purrloin that belonged to Hugh's sister had evolved into a Liepard while under the Shadow Triad's training, and turned into a vicious and violent creature. In respect to his friend, Kyouhei doesn't bring up that occasion. ● After many trials, he, Hugh and Mei reached the cave where the Legendary Pokémon Kyurem was being kept, and were confronted by Ghetsis and aided by N. The battle was long and tiring, and quite traumatic; Kyouhei's Unfezant lost one of her wings in the battle. Even then, it was only barely Mei and Hugh held back Black Kyurem, what allowed him to bring Ghetsis down for enough time for them to shaken the cave's structures, making Kyurem fly away, with he, Hugh, Mei and N fleeing the scene before it fell apart, ending Ghetsis' life once and for all. ● There was a brief period in which his friends got ahead of him for a bit as he has to take care of his Unfezant and bring her to his mother, and also for Kyouhei to trade one of his stored Pokémon for and train for a bit his new sixth party member, a Steelix. However, he soon reached them again, eventually beating all gyms and arriving at the Pokémon League. Hugh parted ways with them before entering, going off to train; once the proper goodbyes were given, he and Mei challenged the Elite Four. After each of them defeated their opponents at separate occasions and after that the Champion herself, it was required for them to face each other to determine who claimed the title. After a long battle, Kyouhei won, if only by a bit, thus gaining the title of Unova Champion. ● After that, Kyouhei went on to explore and train for the then distant but after four years impending Pokémon World Tournament, driven by the desire to battle his childhood idol, Red. However, rumors of turmoil began to stir, and the Tournament got cancelled, and given the circumstances, Kyouhei decided it was time to do something about this...Team Knights of something or whatever. Not like the full name was important.
OTHER ● Don't ever ask him directly about the battle with Ghetsis, because it is quite a traumatic event for him to remember. Aside from the sheer terror that was the battle, the loss of one of his Unfezant's wings affected him deeply and made him question his abilities as a trainer for a while. Kyouhei does like spending time with the now grounded for life Unfezant, though, and she lives with his mother at their house in Aspertia. ● He had a crush on Mei when he was seven, but it went unrequited and these days he sees her as the best friend she is. His crushes these days are mostly on older women, even if by just a year or so, but that's not really set in stone. ● While he calls it and it may seem like dumb luck, the reason he's good at battling is because of a curious and unusual creativity when in battle, though it mostly triggers when in decisive fights and is quite random. ● Don't let him near a kitchen, he'll blow it up. In fact, keep him away from anything flammable. ● Kyouhei actually filled quite a good fraction of his Pokédex and continues to capture Pokémon for it, but releases most of them after the data is gathered, or gifts them to starting trainers he meets along the way. ● Despite most of his team being inseparable from the boy, the three first ones he caught are held in a special place in his heart. Emba, his starter Pokémon, was always an almost perfect reflection of the boy's personality and mannerisms and sometimes he even catches the Pokémon mimicking his movements. Kyou also likes to sit on his head to go around. Geatta was just a newborn Pidgey when Kyouhei was given her, trading a shiny Rufflet he had caught early in his journey with a traveller from Kanto with said man's shiny Pidgey. The trainer is often found riding her around the clouds. Arch on the other hand, was always a mischievous puppy, attempting to steal the boy's food when he was camping one day, and it took a long time as just travelling companions until the Growlithe allowed himself to be caught. ● His Unfezant was part of this group too, being one of the first wild Pokémon he caught, and the loss of one of her wings made him question his skill as a trainer for a while. After some time reflecting, Kyouhei promised he'd always do his best to protect his friends from harm, be them humans or Pokémon. This means he's that type of person who will jump into danger's way if someone is in peril, not thinking about his own safety quite often.
